
Drive Now Worldwide was founded in 2025 to solve a small, expensive problem that travelers kept hitting at the worst possible moment. To obtain a translated version of their driving credential for use abroad, many people were told there was only one path available to them: fly home. Return to the issuing country, stand in a queue, pay a fee, and then fly back.
For a family of four, a round trip home can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000 in flights, plus several days of lost time, hotel nights, and whatever plans were interrupted on the other side. For remote workers on a contract, expats separated from family, people with visa constraints, people on medical protocols, and a long list of others, the trip is not expensive; it is impossible. The paperwork ends the journey.
We started Drive Now Worldwide to move that paperwork off a plane and onto the internet. The service is a translation, delivered remotely, so that a traveler's plans do not hinge on a trip home for an errand. We are not replacing any government document, and we are not granting anyone the right to drive. We are removing a friction that should never have been there to begin with.
Drive Now Worldwide produces a certified translation of your existing, valid domestic driver's license. The translation is available in 12 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Korean, Arabic, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese.
The DNW Driver's License Translation (DNW-DLT) is formatted in accordance with the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic and the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. It must always be presented alongside your original domestic licence; it never replaces it.
